As the first day of spring practice arrives for college teams around the county, the Oklahoma Sooners are looking to improve for the 2023 season.
After finishing with a 6-6 record in the regular season and a bowl game loss to Florida State, the team has made a number of changes.
"The improvement process can be very discouraging... but I know we have the right foundation," OU head football coach Brent Venables said. "I believe in the guys that are in that locker room."
The team's roster had the largest shake-up, with 26 mid-year enrollees between transfers and freshman joining the team.
On Monday, Venables also announced a new staff member, OU alumnus and former player Seth Littrell.
Littrell was a team caption for the Sooners the last time the team won a national championship in 2000, and will serve as an offensive analyst for the 2023 season.
