A $24 million bond in Stigler for a new elementary school and Ag building failed Tuesday.

Bond issues in Oklahoma need 60 percent to pass, but it only had 56 percent.
The current elementary school was built in 1940. The district said there are several structural issues that are too costly to fix under the current budget.
If passed, the bond issue would have raised the average homeowner's monthly property taxes by about $15.
