Stolen Golf Cart Chase Leads To Man Being Taken Into Custody

A man has been taken into custody and is accused of leading officers on a stolen golf cart chase Monday morning.

Police said they responded to a report of a stolen golf cart from the Newcastle Casino at around 6:40 a.m.

When officers arrived on scene, they witnessed a male suspect driving a golf cart illegally on a public thoroughfare.

Police then engaged in a slow speed pursuit that ended at around 7 a.m. on Interstate 44 near mile marker 109.

The suspect was then taken into custody.
