The Environmental Protection Agency is expected to release new proposed regulations that would require more than half of new vehicles sold in the U.S. to be electric by 2030.
According to industry and environmental officials, the proposal would set greenhouse gas emissions limits for passenger vehicles from 2027 through 2032.
The rule will go through a public comment period, but won't be finalized until next 2024.
