Broken Arrow Public Schools Names Support Staff Member Of The Year

Broken Arrow Public Schools is putting the spotlight on some of its employees.

The district held a special banquet on Tuesday night to honor the support staff employee of the year.

An employee was picked at each school, then narrowed down to five finalists.

For the second year in a row, the winner was a school security guard.

"The professionals that you work with, to recognize what you're doing, to recognize that you're helping the students that's, I mean that's the goal if you can hear anything better than that," said Nathanael Pittman, from the Broken Arrow Freshman Academy.

Pittman says he's ready to get back to work and help students get through the last 30 days of the school year.
