Karl Anthony-Towns scored 28 points and Rudy Gobert added 21, leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 120-95 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder Friday night.
The NBA 'play-in' loss in Minneapolis ended the Thunder's season two nights after Oklahoma City beat New Orleans.
The Thunder were led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's 22 points and seven rebounds. Lu Dort and Jalen Williams scored 17 points each.
Oklahoma City was only down by 1 at the end of one period, but a 10-0 run to start the second period put the Timberwolves in front, a lead they would not again relinquish.
Minnesota advances to the NBA playoffs, facing the No. 1 seed in the West, the Denver Nuggets. That series starts Sunday night.
