Mustang Schools Respond After Threat To District

Mustang Public Schools sent a letter to parents addressing a threat made to the district over the weekend.

On Saturday, the district said they became aware of a "troubling comment" on a social media post referencing a threat to Meadow Brook Intermediate School.

Mustang Police then began investigating the issue.

Investigators said they found the origin of the threat: a former student of the school who posted the comment as a joke.

Mustang district officials said there was no credible threat to the school.

As of Sunday evening, the district said they believe the issue has been resolved, but will continue to have all school resource officers on duty.
