The parents of 14-year-old Ivy Webster said they didn’t know about Jesse McFadden's past.
They said they cannot understand why he was released after serving 17 years of his 20-year sentence for rape.
Ivy's parents said they deserve an explanation and they want it now. They said they shouldn't have to wait to get answers for what happened to their daughter.
They said Ivy was best friends with one of McFadden’s step daughters and the two girls were inseparable.
Ivy’s parents got a message from Ivy's phone Sunday that they said seemed a little off. But at the time, they didn't think much of it.
They said they then got a call from Jesse around 5 that evening, saying they were still in McAlester and running late.
Her parents said they believe she was already dead at that point.
They were told other girls had been asked to go with the McFadden family, but didn’t thankfully, or this tragedy could’ve been even worse.
They said McFadden is a monster and they need answers on why he was released and able to hurt kids.
"He snuck a phone in jail, and solicited with a minor, in jail and was still released. If that's not proof that he can't be controlled then I don't know what is," said Justin Webster.
Ivy's parents said they want other parents to research everything possible about everyone around you or your kids.
