Restaurant Franchise Helps Pay For Funerals For Victims Killed In Henryetta

A restaurant franchise is helping families heal after seven people were found dead on Monday in Henryetta.

Folks from near and far are wrapping their arms around the families of the victims.

The pain from the lives lost at a property in Henryetta stretches beyond Okmulgee County, it even made its way to Oklahoma County.

This homicide investigation has left the families involved with many questions, anger and heartbreak.

“I wanted to go on the land and get the answers myself and I know I can't,” Justin Webster, a parent of one of the victims, said.

“I mean I'm really still lost, she was my sidekick,” Nathan Brewer, a parent of another victim, said.

Investigators said Ivy Webster and Brittany Brewer were staying with Jesse McFadden and his family last weekend, but never returned home on Sunday. 

Police searched McFadden's property and found their bodies along with McFadden, his wife and her three children. This discovery didn't just break the hearts of families and friends, but strangers like Ken Taylor.

“It was absolutely devastating. I couldn't believe what I was hearing,” Taylor, CEO of the Howard Group for Buffalo Wild Wings said.

He called the Webster and Brewer families.

“When I talked to them I heard every emotion you could possibly hear,” Taylor said.

He wanted them to know they don't have to deal with this alone. There are people out there that want to help.

“We thought the only thing that we possibly could do is to probably take some of the financial burden off of them and help pay for the funerals,” Taylor said.

“Another business owner, here in Oklahoma. Oklahoma stays with each other through thick and thin. We've been through everything. We've been through tornadoes, we've been through the bombing, we've been through a lot through the whole state. Everybody sticks together, Oklahomans rally and stick together,” Brewer said.

Taylor said it's what Oklahomans do; they lean on each other for help.

“We just really want to reach out to the families and help anyway we can. That's the most important thing is them,” Taylor said.

“The community came together and I know they'll rally together and stay together through this whole thing,” Brewer said.
