Broken Arrow Neighbors has launched a new $10 million capital campaign to build a brand new facility to improve operations.

The new three-story facility will be built beside the current building.

Broken Arrow Neighbors plans to use the site to hold events and to operate a new program called ‘Jumpstart’, which was launched last year.

Jumpstart helps people struggling to find a job, teaching them skills like customer service. Clients who are a part of the program will now have the opportunity to work at the new facility. The organization’s provided emergency support to people struggling financially, giving them access to food and programs that can help them find financial stability for more than 40 years.

Executive Director Megan Quickle says this campaign is “helping them fund their future.”

“We hope that this is exactly what they need to for empowering them as individuals. If they’ve never gone out and looked for a job before they don’t know what skills maybe they possess or what skills they need to learn. This is going to be an opportunity for them to learn them here on site,” said Quickle.

Quickle says Jumpstart’s goal is to empower people to learn different skills that can help them succeed in the workplace.

With the need for emergency support for so many people growing in Green Country, she shares this addition will leave a big impact.

“Currently we’re serving about 28,000 individuals just this past year at Broken Arrow neighbors. With the increases we’re seeing and just the 1st quarter numbers coming in that, we’re already seeing in 2023. We’re going to be serving over 64,000 individuals in this year alone,” said Quickle.

Quickle says they plan to spend the next 18 months raising money for the new building.

Leaders are hoping to break ground at the new facility in 2025.
