Police are searching for a suspect in connection to a deadly shooting that happened early Sunday morning in downtown Oklahoma City.

OKLAHOMA CITY -

Police are searching for a suspect in connection to a deadly shooting that happened early Sunday morning in downtown Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma City Police said they were initially called to investigate a domestic situation near Walker and Robert S. Kerr.

Police said the victim, 41-year-old Anthony Eteeyan, possibly tried to intervene between the man and woman and was shot in the abdomen.

The shooting victim was able to walk a couple blocks to flag down the officer. Police said Eteeyan was taken to OU Medical Center where he died from the injury.

Investigators are checking surveillance video in the area to see if cameras captured the shooting.
