Inspiring Comeback: Jenks High School Student Recovers From Leg Injury

A Jenks High School student is finally home after months of treatment after having a bad fall.

Gavriil has been a patient at a children's hospital in Bethany for the past few months recovering from a broken leg. 

While he was there, he worked on strengthening the muscles in his legs.

Gavriil’s doctors at Bethany said he was very determined and had a great attitude while going through different testing and treatments.

Melanie Milbourn was Gavriil's physical therapist at Bethany and she said she is so proud of the progress he made.

“If it was something hard, we worked hard or something he didn’t want to do, he definitely let me know but he always worked really hard and was really motivated to work towards his goals."

Gavriil said he wanted to stay positive during the experience, and even though it was hard sometimes he always remembered his favorite piece of advice is to never give up.
