A Tulsa water park marking its 40th season is under new ownership.
Paradise Beach Water Park near 21st and Yale used to be known as Safari Joe's H20 before the new owners took over earlier this year.
Along with the new name, it will have new policies for guests.
"Whatever people spent, we want them to have good value and know that they can enjoy our parks,” said Suntken. “At the same time, we're just not going to offer all of the functions that the previous ownerships did."
Park Director Aaron Suntken said Paradise Beach will honor Safari Joe’s season passes that were already sold, but any cooler passes be refunded because no outside food or drink will be allowed inside the park.
Updated policies include:
The park said it is ready to open Saturday for the season with renovated slides, updated platforms, new carpeting and concrete and more.
Longtime guest, Jacob Hope, said he does not mind the new polices as long as it is fun and safe.
"All the lifeguards are trained like they're supposed to, make sure all the people handling food are certified,” said Hope.
The park said to get a refund, stop by its office. Hours and prices have also changed, so make sure to check out Paradise Beach's website before you make plans. Click here to access the website.
