A search is underway on Monday morning for a person who led police on a chase that ended in a rollover crash.
According to Tulsa Police, it started around 3:30 a.m. on Monday when officers attempted to stop a driver near East 11th Street and South Yale Avenue.
Police say the driver refused to stop, leading officers on a pursuit.
According to police, a passenger in the vehicle bailed out of the car near East 13th Street and South 73rd East Avenue.
Police say they continued the pursuit until the driver attempted to cross South Memorial Drive on 15th Street. Police say that is when the driver lost control of the vehicle, hit a concrete barrier and then crashed into a telephone pole before rolling their vehicle. Police say the telephone pole was hit head-on with enough speed to split the pole.
Police say the driver was able to escape through the car's open sunroof.
