Okmulgee Rural Water District 2 Issues Mandatory Water Rationing Notice

A mandatory water rationing notice has been issued by Okmulgee Rural Water District 2 on Wednesday morning as the district continues to work to build its main tower volume back.

Officials from Okmulgee Rural Water District 2 say the problem they have been facing since Memorial Day is that there has not been enough pressure from the Okmulgee feed to keep up the volume in the water tower. Officials say they have been making progress since the City of Okmulgee allowed the water district to go on the bypass feed on Tuesday.

Officials from the water district say they are scheduled to meet with Okmulgee City officials on Wednesday to discuss the issues with the Okmulgee inlet feed.
