A severe storm system with significant winds caused heavy damage to much of Green Country as it lashed across the Tulsa metro Saturday night.

The News On 6 team captured several photos of the damage they saw around town, at their homes and while traveling.

The strong winds associated with the storm uprooted countless trees, blew over power lines and damaged homes in various ways.

The National Weather Service also said an EF-1 Tornado hit Oologah during the storm.

One man in Oilton, a Creek County town, was killed when police said a tree from the strong winds fell on his home.
