LiveFree OKC Non-Profit Launches First Violence Intervention Program

LiveFree OKC is a community-based nonprofit with the mission of building peace and reducing violence in Oklahoma City.

Jabee Williams, the executive director, tells News 9 the goal for their first year is to provide Ward 7 with access to resources and prevent gun violence in the community.

LiveFree will utilize evidence from open records and other partners in the program to reduce violence in the community. 

Resources available through the program will be life coaching, mental and behavioral providers. 

The first inaugural peace expo will be August 5 at 11 a.m. at East Point in northeast Oklahoma City.
