Oklahoma City Man Charged With Mother's Murder, According To Police

An Oklahoma City man accused of shooting and killing his mother has been charged with first degree murder, police say.

Investigators said 48-year-old Shane Smith called 911 earlier this week and told authorities he killed 76-year-old Connie Smith inside a home near Northwest 42nd Street and North Ann Arbor Avenue.

According to court documents, Smith claims it was part of an agreement with his mother that if she got so sick she couldn't function, he was supposed to shoot her.

Authorities said they are looking into the woman's health at the time of her death.
