The risk for wildfires increases the further north and west you go, with the highest risk along the western edge of the state and other Oklahoma Panhandle.

What is the weather like in Oklahoma for the rest of the week?

An upper-level storm later this week will bring rain back to Oklahoma.

Tomorrow, expect another windy day, although humidity will start to increase.

This should lower the fire danger somewhat, but the winds will still be strong, with gusts potentially reaching 40 mph.

fire threat zone

Highs will be in the upper seventies to low eighties.

Wednesday will bring increased rain chances, with storms expected to develop in the afternoon.

storm zone

Winds could gust up to 40 mph again, but the focus will be on the storm system moving in.

Wednesday

By Halloween, conditions will improve significantly. After the storm system moves out, expect a clear and pleasant day for trick-or-treating!

Temperatures will be in the mid-seventies, with light winds making for a comfortable evening.

The weekend is shaping up to bring more rain into the forecast.

rain timeline

By Saturday, expect overcast skies and increased chances of rain throughout the day. Rainfall amounts could be significant, and localized flooding may be a concern, especially in areas that receive heavy downpours.

As we move into Sunday, keep an eye out for lingering showers as the system gradually moves out.
