Warm temperatures continue into the weekend, with a chance of storms developing on Sunday.
After a beautiful Saturday filled with sunshine, Oklahomans should get ready for two rounds of storms in the coming days. While severe weather risks remain low, strong winds, small hail, and even a fire risk in western Oklahoma are concerns.
What is the weather like this weekend?
- A weak front will move south, bringing slightly cooler air on Saturday, with highs in the 60s & plenty of sunshine.
- Sunday, clouds will increase along with a south breeze. In the late afternoon into the evening, expect showers & a few storms to develop & move from west to east.

- When: Storms develop Sunday afternoon in western Oklahoma, moving into central Oklahoma by evening
- Threats:
- Small hail, gusty winds possible in western & northwestern Oklahoma
- Rain spreads from west to east overnight

- When: Rain & storms develop Monday night, peaking early Tuesday
- Threats:
- Low-end severe risk from central to eastern Oklahoma
- Higher severe potential east of Oklahoma into Arkansas
- Impact:
- Gusty winds & hail possible
- Storms clear by Tuesday morning, with lingering light showers

Even with rain moving in, dry conditions and gusty winds could elevate fire danger in western and southwestern Oklahoma on Sunday afternoon.

We are still watching Monday night into Tuesday for storms firing on the dryline.
These storms will have more upper-level support and more Gulf moisture to fuel them.
There is a low chance for severe weather in this timeframe, with wind and hail being the main threats.
