Oklahoma, we’re in for a rollercoaster of weather this week.

Enjoy the mild weather while it lasts because a significant Arctic blast is on the horizon for Oklahoma.

After a relatively warm start to winter, the incoming Siberian air will bring a stark reminder of the season with temperatures plunging and wind chills near or below zero.

What is the weather like on Wednesday?

Wednesday will be similar to Tuesday, with mild temperatures reaching the low 50s once again.

Central Oklahoma starts off frosty, with temperatures around 20 degrees and wind chills in the teens.

Despite the cold start, sunshine will push highs near 50—close to the seasonal norm of 49 degrees.

It will be a great day to get outside and run any errands or enjoy some fresh air before the temperature drops.

However, the clouds will build by the evening as the colder air approaches. While it won’t be freezing, the evening will bring cooler temperatures, dropping back into the 20s and 30s. So be prepared for a chilly night, especially if you’ve got any outdoor plans.

The big arctic front arrives this weekend. Don’t get too comfortable with the warmer temps. A powerful blast of Siberian air is set to plunge into Oklahoma this weekend, bringing a dramatic temperature drop.

Starting Saturday, we’re in for a significant shift as Arctic air pours down from the north, causing temperatures to drop fast.

We're talking highs struggling to hit the 20s on Sunday and Monday, and a light snow event could make the roads slick in some areas.

The Siberian surge means a few days of bitter cold wind chills, especially in the mornings. Be prepared for single-digit lows and the potential for frozen pipes – so don’t forget to drip those faucets! And if you're wondering about snowfall, we could see anywhere from a dusting to an inch, especially in the Panhandle, so it’s worth keeping an eye on the forecast.

Expect a chilly, crisp Sunday with snow possible, but not a major storm. Still, any snow with these freezing temperatures could make travel tricky. Wind chills will be a big issue, especially early in the day. With temperatures expected to rebound briefly into the 40s by the middle of next week, this cold snap will hopefully be short-lived, though we might have another cold blast to follow soon after.May be an image of map and text that says 'VIEW FUTURE 9 HERE COMES THE SIBERIAN EXPRESS SUN JAN 19 10:00am COLD HOT INFO.
