Teen Golfer Claims Double Hole-In-One On Single Round Of Golf

Was it luck or just raw talent? The claims of a 17-year-old golfer from Noble definitely bring up that question. The teen golfer said he had a round of golf that even the best golfers only dream of—two holes-in-one. However, Parker’s love for golf dates back much further.

Was it luck or just raw talent? The claims of a 17-year-old golfer from Noble definitely bring up that question. The teen golfer said he had a round of golf that even the best golfers only dream of—two holes-in-one. However, Parker’s love for golf dates back much further.

"He kind of got mesmerized by golf at a young age and we knew there was something special there," Dustin Johnson, Parker Payne’s father, said.

"I just was born into it pretty much," Parker said. "I play every day, every day I practice and play."

Golf is Parker Payne’s passion, and he has the accolades to prove it, from state championships to all-star rankings. But his new bragging right might be more impressive than just sinking a putt.

"We were playing the front nine," he said.

The game went on as Parker and his friends played their way across Westwood Golf Course in Norman

Then, the impossible happened.

"I ended up making a hole in one on hole four," Parker said. "It flew right in the hole. The first one did."

It was the first of two for that round of golf.

"I told them I hit another really good shot like that might be in the hole," Parker said. "The ball wasn't anywhere so it had to be in the hole. So, I ran up there and it was in there. Everybody went nuts."

Parker said he couldn’t believe what happened, and his parents were equally stunned.

"His mom answered the phone and he said he had another hole in one and we just were speechless for about the first 30 40 minutes I mean we didn't know what to do," Dustin said.

According to U.S. Hole-In-One, the odds of Parker's feat are 156 million to one; in other words, about the same chances as winning the lottery.

But luck, talent, and holes-in-one aside, Parker loves the game.

“It just makes me happy,” Parker said. "I wouldn't trade it for anything else."

And he plans to keep on swinging.
