Oklahoma City Detainee Found Dead In Cell

A woman at Oklahoma County Detention Center was reported as dead on Wednesday afternoon, according to the report released by the OCDC.

OCDC said 33 year old, Lashala Taulbee-Pratt was found un-responsive in her cell around 11:45 a.m. by a detention officer.

The officer called for medical staff, who then performed life saving measures, according to the report.

EMSA and Oklahoma City Fire Officials continued life saving measures and were unsuccessful, according to the report.

According to OCDC, Taulbee-Pratt was booked in on a Possession of a Controlled Substance charge and multiple Oklahoma City charges.

She also had a fail to appear warrant on a previous possession of a controlled substance charge, according to the report.

Her family has been notified, according to OCDC.

OCDC said The State Medical Examiner’s Office will make a final determination as to the cause of death.
