Police Investigate Deadly Axe Attack In Pottawatomie County

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's office is currently investigating a deadly axe attack.

It happened late on Friday night near Earlsboro.

The Sheriff's Office stated the suspect was staying with his mom, and the victim was house-sitting at a neighbors house when the altercation occurred.

Investigators believe the suspect may have been under the influence of drugs, and that he was arrested an hour later by deputies.

The victim is said to have been a 24-year-old man named Charles Rogers, and the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Felipe Reyes Wright Jr, is currently in custody.

Wright's arraignment is scheduled for Monday morning.
