A Broken Arrow pizza restaurant started a pay-it-forward program to feed people in need.
The generosity all started with a Post-it Note.
At Uncle Vinny's Pizzeria, pizza is not the only thing that comes on a platter.
Piles of sticky notes are readily available to fill with words of encouragement
It's part of the shop's Pay-It-Forward program, where customers can give money to go toward feeding the homeless by filling out a Post-it Note.
Then a person in need can grab a Post-It Note to get a meal.
"They can do it quietly to where they're not embarrassed if there are a lot of people or they can just grab a sticky note and hand it to us. However they would like to do it," said store owner Lawrence Zezima.
Lawrence Zezima owns Vinny's and says the idea came from his business partner, his mom Kim.
"She actually saw an idea that someone was inspiring other business owners to use it," Zezima said.
Lawrence says the program has grown and it's filled him up to watch people support the cause.
"I was almost in tears from actually a fellow student of mine from where I go to school came up to me and thanked me for having a program and it was really warming to see and hear that there are people utilizing it that are in need," Zezima said.
Everyone who comes into Vinny's not only leaves full of food, but full of hope.
