Tulsa Brings 'City Hall On The Go' Services To Red Fork Neighborhood

The City of Tulsa is hosting its "City Hall on the Go" program Wednesday to help people take care of issues without going to city hall.

"City Hall on the Go" takes select city services out of city hall and into Tulsa neighborhoods. This time, it's going to the Red Fork neighborhood.

The program is a national model that brings city hall services to the community for a day.

The goal is to increase the accessibility for residents by allowing personal interactions, getting questions answered, learning about city programs, and handling certain city business.

In 2022, city staff were at Tulsa Fire Station number 17 to provide those services.

City of Tulsa Chief Resilience Officer Krystal Reyes said this year will be different because people can conduct business and get information.

Attendees will be able to: apply for city jobs, pay tickets and get warrants recalled, and register for 311 easy reporting.

You can also learn about animal adoption and fostering, as well as the neighborhood dumpster program.

“We’re trying to get city hall services in neighborhoods so that people don’t have to come to city hall, especially if they have some type of transportation barrier or maybe they’re just not familiar with downtown or how to access the building. So, we’re trying to bring the services out so people can get used to seeing city staff, know who to talk to, and get a little bit more information on how to make the transactions with the city a little bit easier," Reyes explained.

"City Hall on the Go" will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the Route 66 Historical Village on Southwest Boulevard.

Reyes said they hope to make it through different neighborhoods once every few months.
