Tulsa Shooting Suspect Identified, Accused Of First-Degree Murder

We're learning new details in a deadly shooting in Tulsa where police say a man shot and killed his ex-girlfriend and shot another man.

Officers arrested Andrew Henry. He’s suspected of shooting and killing Nicole Jackson last Friday at a home near Virgin and MLK.

Henry told investigators he was trying to leave his ex-girlfriend but says she took his keys and wouldn't let him leave. They say at some point Henry pulled a gun and started shooting.

Police say the suspect is the one who called 911 after the shooting.

"They found the suspect was still there and armed and submitted peacefully to officers,” said Lieutenant Brandon Watkins with Tulsa Police.

Investigators say Henry told them he had been in an on-and-off relationship with the victim Nicole Jackson since 2015 and recently started living with her. Henry told investigators he decided to break up with the victim, but says the victim took his keys away and then she told another man in the house to go get a gun and scissors.

"The second victim also lived at the house with Nicole Jackson, the suspect was in the process of moving out or was having some sort of issues and was leaving and pulled a gun and started shooting,” said Watkins.

Henry told investigators he shot Jackson, then the other victim ran down a hallway and Henry went after him. Henry told investigators he shot at the other victim, and the victim returned fire. Police say Henry took that victim to his car and was going to take him to the hospital, but called 911 instead.

"We are kind of still piecing it together at this time. We've been able to interview the other victim this morning and got a little more information,” said Watkins.

Investigators say Henry told them he assumed the two victims were armed and that's why he shot. Henry is now in jail for murder and shooting with intent to kill.
