Police are looking for a woman suspected of targeting two people in an assisted-living home.
The Oklahoma City Police Department said she's accused of fraudulently cashing checks from their accounts.
Police released images of the woman that they say show her cashing the checks at the bank.
Now, police asking for the public's help in identifying her.
Police said it's not clear yet how she obtained the checks or if she works at the assisted living facility.
A spokesperson for the Better Business Bureau says there are ways to reduce the risk of becoming a victim of a check cashing scheme.
"One thing I always recommend is to put those items on a credit card so you can keep track of them," said Casey Farmer with the Better Business Bureau. "Then, your regular accounts, your bank accounts and different accounts you have, look at those purchases a little more often than you typically would so you can make sure that they're true and that you are the intended person to make that purchase."
News 9 reached out to the management at the assisted living facility where the victims live but has not received a response.
