Witnesses testified Wednesday in the trial of an Owasso man charged with murdering two cousins in 2019.

Prosecutors played a video for the jury that showed Manuel Quezada pulling a gun out of his pocket and shooting the boys after a fight.

The families of Albert Thomas and DeJon Ross were in the courtroom and are hoping for justice in this case.

An investigator with the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office walked the jury through the video of the shooting.

It shows a fight breaking out between Quezada and Thomas and Ross. It shows the victims trying to leave in a car, but Quezada comes at them, pulls a gun out of his back pocket, and shoots them both.

Investigators say both the victims later died at the hospital.

The jury even got the chance to go outside and walk around the car where the cousins were shot, in order to see it for themselves.

Quezada’s wife testified Wednesday afternoon, saying their daughter had dated one of the victims, Albert Thomas.

She told the jury her daughter started changing after that, losing weight, moving away for months at a home, and being arrested for drugs and prostitution.

She testified her husband was not an active gang member, despite the fact he’s also charged with a gang-related offense.

Trials are extremely stressful for family members and they say they’re looking forward to reading their victim impact statements in the coming days.
