A new lunch and dinner spot has opened at Guthrie Green.
En Fuego is a Baja-inspired restaurant known for its Bob Marley dip. Executive chef Cody Stell said they brought the famous dip back from its days on Brookside and added some new favorites to the menu.
"We have had great feedback about the Baja burger, which is a chorizo hamburger blend with a spicy jalapeno cheese on top," he said.
The new space at Guthrie Green has both indoor and outdoor seating, with large sliding glass doors that open up to great views of downtown. Stell said, "The Baja cuisine and al fresco dining, we thought would be a perfect match."
He adds the owners of En Fuego love to travel, which is part of where the idea to open this restaurant came from.
"They love the Baja area, and just decided hey we need to bring some of that feel and flair to Tulsa."
Stell said the new concept also allows him to broaden his culinary horizons.
"This gives me a chance to exercise my skills, kind of get into a new cuisine," Stell said.
Behind the bar at En Fuego are over 50 bottles of high-end tequila. While Stell said the restaurant does not necessarily reinvent the wheel, what it does bring is a fresh new flavor to Guthrie Green.
"Tulsans love to eat," he said. "We are really excited about what we have to offer, please come check us out."
The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. It also has several outdoor igloos for groups to enjoy their meal in a more cozy and private space.
