The weekend is finally here and there's a lot going on in our area. Six In The Morning Weekend Anchor Kristen Weaver is joining us to share all the fun and exciting things happening across Green Country.

Kicking things off with HAIRSPRAY! The Tony-award winning musical is on tour and here in Tulsa until Sunday.

Tracy Turnblad follows her dreams to dance on a popular TV show. You can get tickets to the show at the Performing Arts center!

Next up — Oklahoma’s Boat Expo continues Saturday and Sunday. There is a huge lineup of the newest boat models with 50 brands represented.

This is at the Cox Business center on Friday and Saturday until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you’re looking for a chilly start to the new year, consider taking a polar plunge for a good cause.

Plungers need to raise $75 for Special Olympics Oklahoma, and then you can dip into one of 15 sites in Oklahoma.

Saturday’s plunge is at 1 p.m. at J Farley’s Pub in Claremore and more will be held throughout the year.

For those looking to learn about what Tulsa Public Schools has to offer, an Enrollment Expo on Saturday will answer a lot of questions.

TPS has an Enrollment Expo at the University of Tulsa’s Allen chapman activity center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

You can meet with school leaders from all 77 schools and also get information about special education, dual language, and more.

A new king and queen will be crowned on Sunday! Tulsa Pride is hosting its Pride Pageant at Club Majestic at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The 2023 king and queen will also be honored. Candidates must have completed community service and be at least 18. Winners get prizes including a cash prize.

Finally, Osage News is hosting a special watch party for the Golden Globes.

It’s all in honor of the cast and crew of Killers of the Flower Moon, which has received 7 nominations.

You can attend the red carpet event at the Osage Casino Hotel Pawhuska from 5:30 to 10:30 Sunday night. You must be 21 and and older to attend.
