Many outreach programs are working to make sure those without shelter either have a warm place to stay or have the equipment to stay warm outside, ahead of the dangerous cold.
Organizations like the Tulsa Day Center are trying to get people out of the cold and into the warming centers. Those who are staying outside will also get supplies to stay safe.

Outreach teams will be working around the clock over the next several days. This includes bringing people to places like the Tulsa Day Center or giving people things like sleeping bags, coats and blankets if they would rather not go to a shelter.
Josh Sanders with the Tulsa Day Center said the group plans to check on those who choose not to go to a shelter over the next several days.
"A lot of what we’re doing when we are meeting people, we are getting the supplies. We're saying, 'hey are you ready for this weather?' 'What’s your plan?' We’re trying to make that plan in advance and then the team is going to know where they are and be able to follow up as well," Sanders said.
If you're looking to help, Sanders said the Day Center's biggest need is for low-degree sleeping bags and tarps to block some of the wind and snow.
The center is located at 415 W. Archer St. in Tulsa. CLICK HERE for more information about the Tulsa Day Center and how you can help.
