A Foyil man is out on bond after being charged with molesting an 11-year-old girl he knew.
Deputies say a second victim has come forward since Johnny Chinn was arrested and investigators believe there could be more victims.
Investigators say Johnny Chinn told them he hired kids from a church in Foyil to come to his house to clean or do odd jobs outside. They say that's why they are concerned there could be more victims.
Rogers County deputies arrested Chinn after they say a girl came forward accusing him of molesting her when she was 11.
Deputies say that's when they remembered Chinn coming to the sheriff's office a couple of months earlier, to make a report about some inappropriate behavior among teenagers.
"He had concerns that the youth at the church he attends were sexting each other and he felt like it needed to stop and he believed there was a sex ring going on,” said Deputy Danielle Hamilton.
Deputies say Chinn was acting strangely when making the report.
"His behavior, his demeanor, everything about it was odd. He didn't even want to give me his identification at first, he just wanted to remain anonymous,” said Hamilton.
Investigators say Chinn attended a church in Foyil and that's where he hired kids to work at his house. News On 6 talked to the Pastor of the church, and he says Chinn is no longer an active member at the church and was never a youth pastor and never volunteered with kids at the church.
“With the information that we have, as well as the history that we know of John Chinn, we just have reason to believe there could be further victims, as well as because of his relationship with the youth and the church,” said Hamilton.
Deputies say Chinn has only lived in Rogers County for about two years and came from the Pawhuska area. Records show Chinn spent time in prison for assault with a dangerous weapon and DUI.
Deputies say if there are additional victims, they're encouraged to come forward.
"There's strength in numbers so sometimes when they see somebody else has come forward, it gives them the confidence to come forward as well,” said Hamilton.
Deputies say anyone with information about the case, can call the Rogers County Sheriff's Office at 918-342-9700.
We called Chinn's attorney for a comment about the current charge, but haven't heard back.
