Community Vigils Planned As Oklahomans Honor Nex Benedict's Life

There are several community vigils to honor Nex Benedict's life planned for this weekend across Oklahoma.

On Friday, February 23, there is a vigil in McAlester, Okla., at the All Saints Episcopal Church at 6 p.m.

On Saturday, February 24, there are two vigils planned. In Oklahoma City, people are honoring Nex's memory at Rural Oklahoma Pride & Point A at 6:30 p.m. There will also be people gathering at the Norris Park with TahlEquality in Tahlequah at 7 p.m.

On Sunday, February 25, there are also several vigils planned. In Owasso, NOISE is holding a vigil at Redbud Festival Park at 6:30 p.m. Also at 6:30 p.m., Guthrie Green in Tulsa will be holding a candlelight vigil. In Lawton, people will gather at the Unitarian Universalist Church Lawton at 7 p.m.
