Some Bristow parents are frustrated after learning a Bristow School employee is charged with filming middle school boys in a locker room while they were undressing.
Coach Floyd Robinson worked at the district for several decades.
Some say they’re beyond upset something like this happened but others, say they weren’t surprised when they heard who it was.
Bristow Police arrested 74-year-old Robinson and he’s charged with Peeping Tom with electronics, possession of juvenile pornography, and computer crimes.
“Devastated," said Angela Lord. "Betrayed, kind of. I’ve heard it’s been going on for a long time, for years and years.”
Other parents say they know of people who have brought concerns about Robinson to the school in the past.
“Three weeks later, you have this happen," said Chelsea Guevara. "Where these boys, who are incredibly brave for coming up and speaking up and it being put on those teen boys to do that is ridiculous.”
Police say they know people want answers right away, but investigations said this takes time.
Officers say they want people to know this isn’t going to be swept under the rug.
“Please don’t get discouraged, but this is going to be a long investigation," said Assistant Police Chief Kevin Webster with Bristow Police. "You have multiple years coming forward, and we have a ton of evidence to go through.”
Webster hopes people who might have been victims of Robinson, will come forward and talk to police.
“Even if the Statute of Limitations have passed and you feel you were wronged by this individual, come forward, let us know, because it helps us understand the case better," said Webster.
Now, parents want to make sure something like this never happens again.
“You’re required to get an education and send them somewhere," said Chelsea Guevara. "You think that they’re going to be safe there.”
The district says once the students came forward, they called the police, suspended Robinson, and banned him from all school activities and sports.
News On 6 has tried to contact Robinson but has not been able to get in touch with him.
