The Cherokee Nation says two people are in jail accused of killing bison belonging to an Owasso man.
News On 6 first told you about this story in November, and now the bison’s owner says the arrests are all thanks to good police work and tips from our viewers.

Bill Rethke says he received a lot of tips after that story aired and had the names of the two involved in December.
The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture says it assisted the Cherokee Nation in the investigation.
The animal's owner, Bill Rethke, says he was devastated after discovering one of his beloved bison slaughtered and another shot on his property.
Rethke considers his bison as pets and says the loss is estimated to exceed $10,000.
Investigators say one of the animals was beheaded and sparked outrage.
The Quapaw Nation also donated three calves to Rethke since the story aired in November.

Rethke says he’s determined to seek justice for what he calls such a senseless act of violence.
“Since I found out that they got them arrested, I hope they get punished. They lawyered up, so they're already spending money and everything else, but it doesn't bring back the animals,” Rethke said.
The Cherokee Nation has not identified those in custody.
