Tulsa Woman Arrested, Accused Of Using Debit Card Of Deceased Cancer Victim

A woman is in custody accused of using the debit card of another woman who died of cancer, police say.

The Tulsa Police Department said Tapanga Wenrich used the victim's debit card to pay for her insurance, hotel stays and large restaurant orders.

The victim's mother found the charges after the victim passed away.

Records show Wenrich was also charged in October, September and July 2023 for Larceny and obtaining money by false pretenses.
