Quiche is a versatile dish that can be enjoyed any time of day. Chef Carolyn Piguet with Piguet's Prime Time is here to show us how to make a savory sausage and broccoli version of the classic.
Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of Mexican style shredded cheese blend
- 8 oz. broccoli florets - 2 cups
- 1 cup of browned sausage
- 1/4 cup finely chopped scallions
- 1/2 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Instructions
- Method: Place a cookie sheet on a rack in the oven. Preheat the oven to 425 degree. In a large bowl, combine eggs and cream. Stir in cheese, broccoli, sausage, scallions, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper and pour in pie shell.
- Step 2: Bake on hot cookie sheet 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 375 and bake 20 t0 25 minutes until golden and set. Let stand 10 minutes.
