An American Airlines flight bound for Phoenix, Arizona diverted to Oklahoma City due to an unruly passenger late Thursday night.
Police say it arrived here at 9 p.m. last night to take the passenger off the plane and into custody.
That passenger has been identified as Durrell Williams.
Investigators say he took property from someone on board and assaulted a passenger.
Police say they don't have an update on the condition of the passenger on board who was assaulted.
The flight proceeded to Phoenix late Thursday night.
FlightAware shows the flight left Oklahoma City around 11:14 p.m.
American Airlines released a statement saying,
"We thank our team for their professionalism and apologize to the customers for the inconvenience."
