The Sooners and Brent Venables landed a big commitment in the Transfer Portal on Thursday.

Damonic Williams, a two-year starter for TCU, committed to the Sooners over Texas, Missouri and LSU.

He's listed as 6-foot-2 and 320 pounds. He played a part in TCU's run to the National Championship in 2023.

He had 60 tackles and 4.5 sacks during his time in Fort Worth.

Williams shared the following on social media after his commitment:

"Where do I start this entire process has been a whirlwind. Sooner nation I want you to know at the end of they day I chose you because of relationships with Coach V & Coach Bates & the staff. They were genuine & I believe in their ability to develop me as a man & a player & prepare me for the next level. I can't wait to get to work with my teammates!!
