It's the time when many of us are heading to garden centers across the metro.

However, knowing whether you're choosing the right plants for your yard can be confusing.

Kaitlin Bacon, Director of Education at Myriad Gardens, joined News 9 to discuss how to read plant labels and what to look for.

The Flower and Garden Festival at the Myriad Gardens is on Saturday from 9 to 4.

There will be 60 vendors with art, jewelry, food and lots of plants so be sure to check it out.
