We're happy to welcome back Tanner Thorp from Montereau showing us how to do a simple Aioli and then jazz it up.
Ingredients
- 1 heaping tablespoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 cups mayonnaise
Instructions
- Step 1: In a bowl add garlic and lemon juice and let sit for a few minutes so that the acid from the lemon juice “cooks” the garlic. This will soften the spiciness of the raw garlic.
- Step 2: Add the mayonnaise and whisk until fully combined. The aioli is now ready to use, or you can add different ingredients to make flavored aiolis.
- Optional Additions: -Chipotle peppers in adobo & honey (to taste) -Thai sweet chili sauce (to taste) -Chopped cilantro (substitute lime juice in the recipe for cilantro lime aioli) -Grated parmesan and truffle oil -Dijon or whole grain mustard and honey -Pesto
