Local Theatre Performing Unconventional Comedy-Drama Following Civil War General

Oklahoma City’s Carpenter Square Theatre is putting on Ben Butler, a historical comedy-drama through June 8.

Rhonda Clark and Rick Allen Lippert with the Carpenter Square Theatre joined News 9 to discuss the unconventional Civil War story. 

“There are lots of laughs in it because of the style that the writer uses,” Clark said. “Plus Ben Butler who was a real major general during the civil war is a quirky character to begin with and was very controversial in his time.”
