Man Arrested, Accused Of Shooting Teen At OKC Gas Station

A man is now in custody in a deadly shooting that happened on Saturday, June 8.

Officers arrested Carnell Matheri on a murder complaint in connection to the death of 17-year-old William Jackson last Saturday. Police say Jackson was involved in an altercation with several people at the Express Gas and Grocery store near Wilshire and MacArthur before the shooting.

When police arrived at the scene clerk told them about a fight that had broken out inside the store. That altercation turned into multiple gunshots being fired.

“Upon arrival, they found one gunshot victim deceased inside,” said Captain Benjamin Weir, Oklahoma City Police Department.

Police said Jackson was involved in an altercation with three people. At this time, it is unknown what prompted the fight, what it was about, or if the victim knew the suspects.
