Charges Filed Against 2nd OU Football Player, Accused Of DUI

Charges were filed against OU's sophomore defensive back, Makari Vickers, according to the Cleveland County district attorney.

Vickers is accused of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, according to an affidavit.

According to the same affidavit, an OU police officer pulled Vickers’ vehicle over for speeding and the officer stated that they noticed a strong odor coming from the driver.

Vickers was placed under arrest on June 12 and is now charged with DUI and unlawful possession of marijuana, according to the affidavit.
