Two large fires broke out at a vacant hotel complex in Oklahoma City. The fires happened less than 24 hours apart.
The incidents happened at Southeast 66th and I-35 Service Road. This was adjacent to the freeway so you would not miss it as you drove in northbound heading toward Oklahoma City.
The fire is now out Monday morning. That wasn't before crews faced a long battle in the summer heat.
"We do have a fire within the structure still kind of hidden in some void spaces. So we're rotating our crews. We're rotating our crews through to make sure that we can find all the hidden fire and make sure it's extinguished," firefighter said.
This is the second fire at the complex within the past 24 hours. Another fire was reported early Sunday morning in a different building here at the complex.
Fire crews were here for quite some time because this is a vacant building that is not secured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries have been reported.
