Driver Arrested After Breaching Tinker Air Force Base Gate, Installation Says

One person was taken into custody after driving their vehicle into an entrance leading onto Tinker Air Force Base, installation officials say.

TINKER AIR FORCE BASE -

A driver was able to breach Tinker Air Force Base on Tuesday after crashing their vehicle into one of the base's entrances, officials say.

Officials at the base said at approximately 2:10 p.m. on Tuesday, a driver breached the Hruskocy Gate, which leads into the base from Interstate 40 via Industrial Boulevard at Tinker Air Force Base.

"Additional security measures went into place at all open gates as the search for the driver began," TAFB public relations specialist Clayton Cummins said. "The individual was eventually located and taken into custody without incident."

The driver's name has not been released at this time.
