Year 20 of the Mike Gundy era at OSU officially kicking off Wednesday afternoon in Stillwater. The Cowboys hitting the practice field at the Sherman E. Smith Training Center for practice number one of fall camp.

The media was not able to talk to Gundy or any players on Wednesday; we won’t hear from them until Oklahoma State’s Media Day on Saturday.

Several storylines to keep an eye on as we inch closer to the season opener against South Dakota State:

#1: Avoiding the injury bug. There is some depth, but with so much experience on the roster returning from last season, the Pokes need everyone healthy for the Jackrabbits on August 31st.

#2: What will we see from the transfers? OSU added three from the portal in the spring, all in positions that needed depth. How much of an impact will they make?

#3: What will we see at quarterback? Alan Bowman is the starter, but could we see anything out of Garret Rangel? And will this be the season Zane Flores hits the field?

#4: Could expectations be a weight on the Cowboys? With a new look Big 12 and so much veteran presence returning, the Cowboys are eyeing a possible CFP berth.

#5: What will the defense look like in year two under Bryan Nardo? Can the Cowboys improve on the pass rush?

We’ll find out the answers in just 30 days.
