The presidential race is heating up with former President Trump and Vice President Harris both turning their focus to Black voters this week.
Trump appeared at the National Association of Black Journalists in Chicago where he's now facing criticism for remarks about the vice president's racial identity. News on 6's MaKayla Glenn is also in Chicago and she was actually in the crowd during Trump's remarks.

Glenn said she was in the crowd when Trump took the stage to talk to journalist Rachel Scott and others.
"During their conversation, Trump questioned Vice President Kamala Harris's racial identity," said Glenn.
"I've known [Harris] a long time indirectly, not directly, very much. And she was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn't know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black and now she wants to be known as Black. So I don't know, is she Indian, or is she Black?" said Trump.
Harris is the daughter of a Jamaican father and Indian mother. She attended Howard University, a historically black school in Washington, and belongs to Alpha Kappa Alpha, the country's oldest Black sorority. Harris responded to Trump's remarks while in Houston at the gathering of Sigma Gamma Rho, another historically black sorority.
"It was the same old show, the divisiveness, and the disrespect," said Harris.
Harris was also invited to speak at the conference but was unable due to the previously scheduled appearance.
Glenn, News On 6 anchor Autumn Bracey, Producer Ashley Jones, and Photojournalist Bianca Harris are in attendance atence at the NABJ conference in Chicago. The conference lasts through Sunday.
