Tulsa Public Schools Hosts Resource Fair; Offering Haircuts, Supplies, Medical Check-ups

Tulsa Public Schools is hosting a Back-to-School Resource Fair on Saturday.

With the arrival of the new school year, many families are getting school supplies, haircuts, and doctor appointments. That's where this community resource fair at the SageNet Center can help

Tulsa Public Schools is partnering with others to put on this event and the entire community is welcome. Families can pick up backpacks and school supplies. The Caring Van will also be on hand to provide immunizations.

There will be spots for students to get their haircut and take vision screenings. For TPS students, there will also be enrollment assistance and other resources available for the new school year.

The district said it's all about making sure kids start the new year off right.

"We want to make sure that every single family in Tulsa Public Schools is ready with the information and resources they need to start the school year on the right foot," said Maricarmen Mitchell with TPS

The Community Resource Fair will run from 9 am to noon while supplies last on Saturday at the SageNet Center. Families don't need to bring anything to get their supplies.
